They met and courted while he was a fish monger in Seattle’s Pike Place Market. Travel is a primary aspect of their life together. I was asked to use these two facts as jumping off points for their wedding invitations. In the end, I had done two hand drawn maps (one to the wedding, one tracing their honeymoon plans), original illustrations of worldwide monuments, a train ticket RSVP and two Salmon kissing in a heart shaped crest. I worked closely with the couple to create this concept. The illustrations and maps were all done with pen and ink. The layout was done in Indesign.
