One Hundred Years of Solitude, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, is the haunting story of 100 years in a small South American town, through the eyes of a single, tragic family. It is beautiful. There is love and death, jealousy and missed opportunity, triumph and decay. I made this version of the book for the Book Builders West competition. I did the illustrations, layout and typography, as well as the actual construction of the book. There is only one. The cover illustrations are pen and ink with watercolor. The layout and typography were done in InDesign. Interior vector illustrations were done in Illustrator.
